Artist background…

Jenean LaCorte has a passion for art and helping others, so it is no surprise to find her working as a medical tattoo artist. She has been a professional artist for over 20 years, after having attended The Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. She has studied figure drawing, portraiture, painting and sculpting and excelled in color theory. She is mostly known for her fine art paintings in watercolor and acrylic and her murals. You can still see her murals locally in schools, restaurants and other businesses.

She became interested in medical tattoo when she learned of the need from her sister-in-law, who had undergone a bilateral mastectomy due to her breast cancer diagnosis. Jenean, herself is a cancer survivor of over 40 years, and understands the needs of survivors wanting to camouflage their scars, some wanting to find a substitute for what was taken away, as is the case with the 3D nipple tattoos.

For her pursuit of this interest, she studied and earned her certification through the Sauler Institute, a division of Penn Medicine. She is also certified in HIPAA rules and regulations and blood born pathogens.

It is her great passion to help as many people as she can through her artistic approach to medical tattooing.
